Carolina Storm is founded by Caleb Smith who is a managing partner of CVS Holdings which is currently an education and entertainment holding company. CVS Holdings’ subsidiaries include North Carolina Esports Academy, Minds of Every Kinds Sensory Gym, and just recently Carolina Storm. Carolina Storm was founded with the intent of creating a local, community based esports org. There are many esports orgs and most fail and the ones that are still around usually aren’t profitable. Caleb had looked at investing in an esports org for many years, but never liked the intentions of the founders so he decided to take matters in his own hands and create a Raleigh-Durham based gaming, esports, and content creation org.
Carolina Storm is in its infancy and does not have a clear plan, but knows they want to be community focused. Carolina Storm will leverage North Carolina Esports Academy, a hands-on gaming, esports & STEM education and youth development organization, through sponsorships, contacts, esports ready venue, and more. Since NC Esports Academy has a great footprint in the Raleigh-Durham area including Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, and Chapel Hill, Pittsboro and more, they will capitalize on that for marketing, finding players and content creators, and putting on community based events.

Carolina Storm is currently not looking for investors, but we will engage in conversations incase we do in the future.
